Camp Fire Community Resource Specialist

Reports to: Case Management Supervisor, Director of Services

Purpose: To assist Camp Fire survivors with recovery

Camp Fire Community Resource Specialist is responsible for and oversees the implementation, management, coordination, planning, organizing, leading, evaluating, and reporting of the Camp Fire Community Resource Specialist program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop long-range framework for Camp Fire Recovery Program (CFRP).
  • Responsible for the implementation, management, and evaluation of the CFRP.
  • Recruit, interview, supervise select qualified volunteers to assist CFRP.
  • Assist clients to develop a long-term recovery plan by exploring all available options and identify the client’s own resources and access government and community resources that will address disaster-cased needs.
  • Help the client develop a plan or action.
  • Assess unmet recovery needs with the client and make appropriate referrals and providing advocacy for the client.
  • Keep a written narrative of the work done on the case.
  • Present the case to the Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) unmet needs group, when necessary.
  • Communicate to the survivor the assistance to be provided from the LTRG and any limitations to the assistance available.
  • Verify the results of the assistance in order to close the case.
  • Write and turn in monthly reports to the Supervisor
  • current caseloads, new cases opened, cases closed.
  • Number of households and the number of total individuals served (unduplicated).
  • Number of services and type of services.
  • Narrative about success and challenges.
  • Attend ongoing training; ETO, Trauma Trainings, etc.
  • Follow all HIPPA requirements in order to protect confidentiality of the client.
  • Meet with Supervisor weekly.


  • Previous case management experience.
  • Computer proficiency: email, databases, word, excel, spreadsheets
  • Commitment to ethics: building relationships, communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and understand ethical behaviors and business practices.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Adhere to the organizations policies and procedures
  • Community advocate
  • Work well as in a team structure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
