The Decision Support Analyst is responsible for developing, validating and documenting SQL queries and graphical reports that are requested by business and clinical teams across . Responsible for using his/her knowledge of healthcare, relational databases, SQL and systems to provide requestors with appropriate and accurate data.
Reports to the Decision Support Manager. Works closely with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and other directors and managers throughout the Clinic. Works with providers and staff to develop and produce supporting data of the Clinic business operations.
Provide analysis and data validation for Clinic systems and Clinic business functions.
Provide analysis of application processes as they relate to data reporting.
Assist with the maintenance and reporting options of Clinic applications and databases.
Assist in evaluating end-user needs and requirements through interactions with Clinic staff.
Assist in developing and maintaining procedures in support of Clinic business functions.
Maintain security of computer facilities resources.
Assist in evaluation of new information technologies for the potential to improve operations or reduce cost.
Work cooperatively with Financial Planning and Analysis staff and Information Technology staff to perform project tasks and provide procedures and documentation on how to perform these tasks.
Assist in the evaluation of new information technologies for the potential to improve operations or reduce costs.
Demonstrate professional behavior in association with providers, patients, vendors and Clinic staff both within and outside the Clinic.
Follow all Clinic and Financial Planning and Analysis policies and procedures.
Maintain a positive attitude in working to achieve Clinic goals.
Comply with the incident reporting policy and procedures.
Adhere to all OSHA and training & accomplishments as required per policy.
Provide excellent customer service and adhere to 's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree in a business-related field, computer science, or its equivalent in work-related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Substantial knowledge of computer system operations in a multi-platform environment.
Extensive knowledge of Excel.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience with application and database systems.
Ability to provide reliable transportation to commute between Clinic facilities as required for Clinic operations.
Prior work experience with the health care industry is preferred.
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment or supplies of varying sizes, weights (up to 45 lbs.) and shapes.
The ability to work in a collaborative manner with technical and non-technical personnel is essential.
This is a challenging position requiring excellent interpersonal skills, ability to function in a fast paced short-deadline environment, and create innovative results using software applications available for data analysis.
