As the Parkridge East Lead Technician Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring medications and supplies from appropriate resources and ensuring proper storage to maintain their quality and integrity.
You will perform inventory management activities that ensure appropriate stock levels of medications, oversees the removal of outdated and recalled medications from supply, maintains purchasing contract compliance, promotes cost effectiveness, and works in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
You will also perform routine responsibilities of a Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist the department in meeting patient care needs.
The 128-bed Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge provides a full range of medical and surgical services, such as orthopedics and robotic surgery. Our 24/7 Emergency Department is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. Technician training program preferred
Knowledge of general pharmacy practices and procedures
Registration with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy
Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with coworkers, vendors and other hospital staff in all situations
Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
Two years health-system experience required
