Join a dedicated early learning team that strives to provide joyous learning experiences for children from infancy to kindergarten. Saint Paul's Doyle Towne Early Learning Centre in Clearwater seeks an Assistant to the Director of Early Learning who will be a welcoming voice and friendly face of the center while also methodically completing administrative duties.

To be considered for this position, you:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Are able to handle all situations in a professional manner.
  • Have the ability to understand written instructions and procedures and prepare required documents
  • Are Proficient in using the computer, office equipment and G Suite
  • Possess knowledge of Florida Department of Children and Family licensing requirements, preferred
  • Child development knowledge, preferred.
  • Have 1 year experience working in a preschool office setting, preferred
  • Possess a caring and respectful attitude towards children and be able to work collaboratively with co-workers, parents
  • Possess excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must successfully meet Level 2 background screening requirements

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all required paperwork for the Florida Department of Children and Family and Saint Paul's is completed timely and accurately including: medical forms, setting up new student accounts, recording daily attendance and other licensing records
  • Answering the telephone and responding to inquiries made in person and by telephone regarding program information, registration, etc.
  • Maintaining neat, organized and updated files on each child in accordance with licensing requirements and maintain a proper, effective and user-friendly filling and document control system for recording and tracking staff and children documents
  • Sending monthly, weekly reminders to parents to update their children's forms
  • Completing, processing and ensuring all documents are up to date including licensing
  • Assisting Director in preparing for special events or projects and participating in staff meetings and required training
  • Keeping Director informed of all incidents, accidents or concerns regarding a child or center policy, parental or teacher concerns, etc.
  • Serving as a customer service role model to ensure a positive relationship with parents, children and co-workers by: Greeting with a warm welcome and acknowledging upon arrival and departure, communicating in a courteous and respectful manner and taking the time to listen to parent or children's concerns.
  • Performing other duties that may be necessary to maintain the success of Doyle Towne, such as providing classroom coverage as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $19.00 per hour
