About This Role
Brightech is looking for a Vice President, Director of Operations. This person will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, overseeing multiple key functions in the business, and driving both top and bottom line growth. This person is a highly strategic thinker, capable of quickly assessing scenarios and translating strategy into action plans. They must be a strong leader who is able to inspire their team to take action without being prescriptive. This person has experience honing their operational, strategy, and management skills in a fast-paced startup environment and is well-versed in how to manage complex inventory-based operations at scale. This person will lead multiple teams, including supply chain, finance / FP & A, customer experience, SKU planning, people operations, and compliance, to ensure the entire business is operating efficiently. They will report to the CEO and manage a team of department heads. Overall, they will be in lock-step with the CEO and executive team, helping to chart the course for the present performance and future growth of Brightech.

About The Position

  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs
  • Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business objectives
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met
  • Establish and deploy KPI's for the business assuring that internal and external processes are established to meet them
  • Provide timely, accurate and complete reports for leadership team
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
  • Lead strategic market and portfolio analysis, identifying growth opportunities NA and abroad.
  • Develop operating procedures, KPIs, OKRS, and goals for each manager within each department
  • Approach every day with a continuous improvement mindset -- consistently identifying areas for improvement and putting forward recommendations
  • Provide training to leaders on continuous improvement methodology and formal problem-solving techniques, enabling departments to drive better business results
  • Propose best path forward to balance growth and profitability


About You

  • 5 years of experience in either e-commerce, consumer products, or retail industries
  • At least 2-3 years as a C-level leader in a high-growth organization
  • Supply chain and manufacturing experience
  • A pleasant demeanor. Positive attitude and outlook.
  • A natural born leader. Understanding of personal leadership style and standard best practices
  • Well-rounded solid experience in commercial innovation and P&L management
  • Proven background in scaling an inventory-based business
  • Experience in DTC / E-commerce based businessHighly developed leadership skills with the ability to build, lead and develop a team as well as effectively lead change management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate region needs as well as provide the team with a clear framework of the strategic priorities
  • Working knowledge of the industry and brand landscape
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills
  • Experience working with a team in a fast-paced setting
