LOCATION: JOHN H. STROGER, JR. HOSPITAL
SHIFT: 11PM-7AM
The Ward Clerk provides clerical support to the health care team, patient, family and visitors of John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital. Contributes to the operation which enhances the efficiency and communications of the unit. Promotes a positive customer-focused environment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required (must provide proof at time of interview).
Minimum of one (1) year of clerical experience is required
Basic computer skills is required
Must be able to type 25 words per minute (may be required to test for proficiency)
Preferred Qualifications
Patient care experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Knowledge of medical terminology.

Discharge papers must list and Honorable Discharge Status. Discharge papers not listing an Honorable Discharge Status are not acceptable
