Creates an exceptional experience for the Guest in the bar. Has fun with them by establishing a “regular Guest” rapport
Works the bar areas, and constantly interacts with Guests.
Makes suggestions for drink and food, utilizing salesmanship to increase check average.
Fills cocktail orders from Servers.
Ensures that all food and beverages you serve are in keeping with our standards of quality and freshness.
Assists in preparing tables in the Bar for new Guests.
Controls product costs through proper pouring techniques and jigger usage.
Handles money and make change in a quick and accurate manner.
Understands company payment procedure policies in depth.
Can follow service guidelines in highly distracting circumstances.
Has a thorough working knowledge of the P.O.S. system.
Has a thorough knowledge of the food, beverage, and Bar menus.
Handles Guest dissatisfaction using empowerment and answers Guest questions.
Proactively offers assistance to guests who need it and remains with guests, when needed, until problems are solved.
Is responsible for general cleanliness of the bar area including, but not limited to, using a pan and broom to clean debris, cleaning drinks and/or food spills, bussing tables, and cleaning bar shelves
Maintains proper cleanliness and hygiene; both personal and professional.
Always provides our Guests with elevated service.
Assisting the Restaurant Servers, Lanes Servers, and Banquet Servers whenever possible and/or necessary.
Providing information for all Guests as requested.
Sweeping the floors and emptying trash from the Bar area.
Keeping the floor area wiped clean of water spills and safe for working.
Wiping chairs in the Bar thoroughly of food and beverage debris.
Thoroughly cleaning the bar to include scrubbing floors, wiping out coolers, cabinets, chairs, etc.
Refilling the ice bin continually throughout the shift.
Stocking supplies: straws, napkins, garnishes, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum age: 21
Required education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Guest service
Concern for operating with integrity
Must possess or have access to reliable transportation
Ability to excel in a team focused environment
Comfort working with checklists, calendars, specific steps of service, and other organizational techniques
Ability to function in a stressful environment with a high attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills a must.
1 or more years working with POS systems (i.e Micros, Aloha)
1 or more years working in a Guest service position
Must be able to successfully complete TIPS training within 7 days of hire or provide valid TIPS card upon hiring
Must be available to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
May be in an indoor or outdoor setting depending on occasion with varied weather conditions
Will work near moving or mechanical parts
May work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles
Must possess the ability to read, write, understand, and speak the English language
Must have close and distant vision
Frequent walking, standing, and moving between tight spaces
Will walk for extended or long periods of time, possibly for extended distances
Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent us of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
Constant (67-100%): standing, walking, vision, hearing, eye-hand-foot coordination, sight with color perception, talking to customers, and talking to co-workers
