As the Loan Processor/Servicer Analyzes client information, financial status, credit, and collateral to determine eligibility for loan requested. Processes loans, prepares closing packages and services loans. Understands and completes job responsibilities in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Essential Functions:

Processing 45%

  • Processes new first and second residential mortgages, home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), and commercial loans
  • Analyzes client information for loan eligibility
  • Assists in resolving loan application errors
  • Prepares files for underwriting
  • Locks and withdraws loans, updating mortgage pipeline as applicable
  • Prepares and orders all necessary loan documentation and closing packages
  • Follows-up on outstanding items necessary to close the loan

Servicing 45%

  • Delivers, funds and uploads loans, renewals and participations
  • Ensures taxes and insurance are paid timely
  • Completes and submits reports, claims, rebates on consumer loan insurance and escrow analysis
  • Loan maintenance and loan readback on all loans
  • Files and updates loan files and documents including collateral tracking
  • Processes loan payments, paid loans, satisfactions and Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI)
  • Collects, compiles and reports HMDA data
  • Prepares satisfactions, subordination agreements on collateral, loan payoff quotes and audit files

Additional Duties and Responsibilities 10%

  • Assists other departments as needed
  • Interacts with clients via phone or in person
  • Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as needed
  • Other job related duties necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
. Requirements:

Work Relationships and Scope:

Regular contact with clients and most co-workers for the purpose of obtaining and providing information. Regular contact with suppliers/vendors, community/trade/professional affiliations, federal/state government/regulatory agencies, and other financial institutions. Works regularly with highly confidential business and client information. Participates in bank committees and events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent required, a 2 year business or accounting-related degree preferred, 3+ years banking experience preferred, previous loan experience required. Must possess courteous and professional customer service attitude; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain highly confidential client and Bank information. Must possess computer skills; strong organization and follow-up skills; basic math skills up to and including fractions. Must possess ability to deal effectively with time pressures and stress that can change hourly depending on level of client activity; effective problem solving and research skills.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed largely in an office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Regular mental and visual concentration for computer usage required. Occasional out-of-town and overnight business travel (air or auto) is required for business and education. Regular use of telephone. Frequent repetitive use of keyboard for approximately 6 hours per day. Frequent repetitive fingering of documents. Requires ability to receive and provide detailed information through verbal and written communication. Will alternate sitting, standing, and walking throughout work shift. Bend, kneel, turn, lift and carry up to 20 pounds of documents and office supplies. Occasional exposure to significant work pace. Work is performed generally during regular business hours with minimal expectation of overtime.

Equipment Used:

Operates personal computer in a Windows environment for word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, and other bank specific software. Operates core system on Silverlake. Utilizes a variety of office equipment including printer/copier/scanner and multi-line telephone.
