THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Administrator with significant experience with the U.S. Navy Submarine Technical Assistance Assessment and Reporting System (STAARS) fleet maintenance database to support the Submarine Technical Support Center (STSC) at Naval Submarine Base Groton (NSB Groton) in Groton, CT.
The data administrator’s responsibilities may include (but aren’t limited to):
Maintain the Submarine Technical Assistance Assessment and Reporting System (STAARS) fleet maintenance database.
Work closely with the Regional Maintenance Modernization Coordinator (RMMCO), the Electronic Material Officer (EMO), the Weapons Officer (WEPS), and the STSC Production Manager to ensure cross organizational maintenance is properly adjudicated.
Track Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) requests and actions.
Support sail inspections. Enter sail Automatic Work Requests (AWR) following sail closeouts.
Support Total Ship Readiness Assessments (TSRA) data collection, control, and analysis.
Track TSRA discrepancies and prepare TSRA deficiency charts.
Perform data entry, extraction, and documentation generation in support of the above as required.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must possess and be able to maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must have at least eight (8) years of general U.S. Navy submarine experience, including:
At least three (3) years of demonstrated, specialized experience with the STAARS fleet maintenance database or an equivalent system.
Experience with submarine Combat Systems (CS), and familiarity with the technical aspects of CS system maintenance and support.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and skills.
Less than 10% travel anticipated.
