Full Description :

Purpose: Plans, coordinates, and communicates critical information to EVS supervisors and EVS staff regarding Bed Turnover, but also to include communications of clinic, diagnostic and lab area messages and assignments to appropriate staff and supervisors. This position will work collaboratively with Patient Placement on bed turnover situations during peak volume times. Work situations are a combination of routine and non-routine functions that require strong customer service and interpersonal skills, prioritization, organization, and leadership abilities. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout the organizations.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Answers phone, e-mail message and monitors Epic bed board needs for evening shift supervisors.
2. During high bed turnover periods, works in Patient Placement. Works with their staff to understand where and when the bed needs will be the greatest.
3. Provides up to date communications to EVS staff and EVS supervisors regarding Bed Turnover needs.
4. Triages all other calls and requests to supervisors and EVS techs via phone, text or pager. Tracks all communications in department log.
5. Supports Administrative Assistant with clerical duties including but not limited to filing, copying, data entry, and maintaining supply inventories.
6. May provide backup for EVS techs for an OOPS call or other cleaning request as needed.
7. Refers all incidents, complaints, and problems to the supervisor and/or manager.
8. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
 High School graduate or equivalent preferred
 Strong skills in interpersonal, oral, and written communication.
 Ability to effectively provide direction to staff.
 Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
 Ability to work independently and take initiative.
 Ability to set priorities and use good judgment.
