MEI Finance is hiring for an Experienced Auto Insurance Claims Specialist.

Position Purpose: Verify insurance, accident car claims, follow up with deductible payments, and follow up with outside claims.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Out bound/inbound calls
  • Notate accounts
  • File CPI claims
  • Establish the initial first party claim file based on case facts, best practices, protocols, regulatory issues and available resources.
  • Conduct investigations of claims in order to determine if the policy will respond to the loss and investigate the legitimacy of the claim. Review information including, but not limited to, estimates, photos and/or videos of property damage appraisals and condition reports and other pertinent information required to fully substantiate the claim.
  • Evaluate information to determine cost of loss.
  • Inform manager if claim exceeds authority limits, making recommendations where appropriate.
  • Establish claims from a first and third party perspective. Initialize and handle subrogation claims as appropriate.
  • Assess policy coverage for submitted claims and notify corporate accounts of any issues.
  • Negotiate a fair and cost-effective settlement with customers and service providers.
  • Ensure service partners are working within prescribed standards and coordinate whether or not the vehicle gets fixed, in coordination with the sales team.
  • Maintain updated, current and organized claims files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Auto claims adjusting and auto claims investigations experience required
  • General knowledge/understanding of insurance coverage/policies
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong negotiation skills required
  • Results driven with an ability to focus on organizational growth and financial performance
  • Ability to keep composure and handle all situations professionally
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide information in a clear and concise manner and to communicate with a variety of individuals
  • Strong analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts and make recommendations based upon information collected
  • Proficiency in all frequently used business software programs, applications or tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required to obtain and maintain all applicable license

Salary: $14.00 to $15.00 /hour

  • Auto Insurance Claims Processing: 1 year (Required)

  • Auto Insurance Claims Adjusting & Investigation: 1 year (Required)

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
