Assist the Human Resources department with duties at the direction of the Human Resources management team. Maintain positive communications with internal staff with knowledge of CBE benefits and other areas the Human Resources department supports. Constantly project a positive image of the corporate office and the company through a professional approach and appearance. Play a vital role as a member of CBE’s Human Resources team.


Support person for the Human Resources (HR) department which will consist of the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the personnel, confidentiality and payroll files on all newly hired and terminated employees.
  • Scan all documents per the Human Resource Filing-Scanning System SOP.
  • Conduct reference checks and employment verification's for prospective employees that conform to our background check procedures.
  • Assist with and access employment credit reports (if applicable) and be able to interpret the report for conformity to our credit check / background check procedures.
  • Assist with, conduct and interpret criminal checks for prospective employees that conform to our background check procedures.
  • Submit I-9 Form verification through the E-verify system and document confirmation.
  • Support entire HR team with tasks or projects including: anniversary awards, attendance awards, employee perks cards, orientation and benefits packets, semi-annual shredding of I-9's of terminated employees.
  • Help with client audits, including pulling or making copies of necessary documents.
  • Make copies of employee personnel files upon request per a subpoena.
  • Ensure that new employee paperwork is accurate & up to date.
  • Knowledgeable about the benefits that CBE offers to our employees and assisting employees with related questions.
  • Gain a clear understanding of all CBE corporate policies and procedures. Review and understand all HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s.)
  • Assist with job fairs that CBE holds on site and if needed, participate in offsite job fairs.
  • Support the badge software that allows employees access to our building and offices, by assisting with issuing temporary badges.
  • Have a basic understanding of HR laws and regulations to ensure CBE is adhering to appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy in all handouts and forms that are distributed to CBE employees and keep them up to date.
  • Assist in planning and preparing for employee related events, such as company picnics, employee benefit training's, annual training's, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality as appropriate in working with employees on personnel-related matters. Adhere to all HIPAA, GLBA and privacy regulations.
  • Ability to take initiative and complete assignments, after initial direction, to completion.
  • Assist all offices with documents, paperwork, forms, etc. that are needed for each location.

    • Must be able to remain in a stationary seated position up to 85% of the work shift.
    • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets or attend meetings.
    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, scanner, fax machine.
    • Must be able to exchange accurate information with co-workers, consumers and/or clients or vendors who have work related inquiries.


  • Must rely on positive human relation skills to gain the cooperation of others when needed to complete the duties and responsibilities of this position.

  • Recognition that work is performed under very broad supervision, requiring a high degree of independent judgment and action.


  • Pursing degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Previous Human Resources or office experience preferred
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated and a strong work ethic
  • Expected proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
