New start-up electrical contractor seeks an Estimator/Project Manager with sufficient years of electrical construction experience and strong commercial/industrial background.

We specialize in the challenging and unique. Our customers bring us a conception and you will design, layout, and estimate a job from start to finish. Most of our negotiated work is in the material handling and electrical work for delivery for commercial and industrial client. As an estimator you will be challenged to stretch your imagination to design and layout a project based on a conception.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties include:

Meet with the client to determine their requirements, then design, estimate and present to the client.

Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.

Schedule project material and labor resources in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines using scheduling software acceptable to the customer.

Meet with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction methods and strategies to meet team objectives.

Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.

Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with project budgets and schedules, quality controls, design intent, building and safety codes, and other regulations.

Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.

Required Skills:

WA State 01 Journeyman Electrician

Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project

Must be familiar with ConEst, AutoCad Software, and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to communicate with Contractors, Owners and specialty equipment suppliers to determine scopes of work and necessary equipment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

  • Construction Estimating: 1 year (Required)
