Serve as a senior technical lead of the stromwater planning team and manage a team of three employees. Provide technical review on County's CIPs' alternative analysis and technical assistance to the consultants and County staff. Oversee County's flood protection project development program, roadside ditch drainage program, and develop stormwater projects' five-year work plan. Ideal Candidate Profile
The Hillsborough County Public Works Administration is seeking a proactive, dynamic, seasoned professional engineer to lead a Stormwater Services Team. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, collaborator, and has strong communication skills. The individual will anticipate problems so they can be remedied before they become significant issues whether related to community issues or program delivery. The team leader will be someone who can inspire and take the team to the next level.
Registration in the State of Florida as a Professional Engineer (active status) in the applicable discipline as required by the Florida Statutes Chapter 471; AND
Six years of post-registration experience as a Professional Engineer in the applicable discipline.

Duties and Responsibilities
Stormwater planning team management to include; program management, attendance and performance management, career planning/cross training management, support of tracking team performance towards Section and Division goals and coach staff to develop their capabilities.
Manage Stormwater flood protection project development program, roadside ditch drainage program, and develop stormwater projects' five-year work plan.
Provide quality and timely technical support of Stormwater/Transportation CIP alternatives technical review. Perform construction quantities and cost estimate for each proposed alternative.
Coordinate with maintenance and construction teams on roadside ditch drainage program and flood protection projects.
Creating or modifying County's watershed models.
Provide stormwater technical services/support across the County (PWD, PUD, Development Services, Parks & Recreation, Real Estate, and County Attorney's Office (CAO) occasionally.
Initiate and coordinate the storwater related grant application through SWFWMD, FDEP, FDEM, FDOT and FEMA office occasionally.
Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others. Leads project meetings and makes presentations. Represents the County and maintains productive relationships with individuals and related organizations.
