This position performs daily tasks related to the Grain department.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for grain operations including receiving grain, maintaining grain quality, staging grain, blending and loading out grain to optimum grade specifications.
• Facilitate repairs and maintenance on company equipment and accurately complete all necessary records. Recommend repairs and improvements to the Location Manager.
• Keep facility and grounds groomed and maintained to exceed OSHA and company regulations.
• All grain storage needs to be inspected for quality/condition with proper documentation on a weekly basis.
• Bin inbound grain according to grades and document.
• Efficiently dump, stage and load out grain.
• Plan and communicate storage levels with Location Manager.
• Upload all information pertaining to the elevator into the RCI program.
• Take initiative to do what needs to be done without direct supervision or direction.
• Create and uphold a safe work environment. Follow strict company safety protocol procedures including, but not limited to: Confined Space Entry, Lock-out-Tag-out, and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Assist as needed in conducting safety training.
• Effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
• Greet and serve ALL customers promptly and courteously throughout the facility

Job Description and Qualifications

• Ability to shift focus between any and all departments as work load and labor needs dictate

• Ability to communicate daily with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to perform needed tasks of the company to further enhance the cooperative's mission and image

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks during peak workload times

• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds

• Meet the physical and mental demands of working extended hours, repetitive heavy lifting, and climbing ladders to perform tasks at elevated or below-grade locations

• Ability to understand and comply with OSHA, MDA, DOT, EPA, PCA and other regulations

• Work efficiently while always keeping yourself and others safe
