Purpose of Role
The Scheduling and Data Specialist is a new role created to support the rapid growth and complexity of the Finite Planning team. There are three primary areas of focus. First, support the development and roll out of the material dual sourcing initiative. Second, improve data management processes holistically to ensure accuracy and consistency in process orders and materials management. Third, support commercialization project execution at the Finite Planning level across North America. In addition, this role will cross train in all other aspects of Finite Planning to provide support and coverage as needed in response to volume growth across our supply footprint. Due to the fluid nature of these responsibilities, the successful candidate should be familiar with operations across Supply and have demonstrated a high degree of initiative in prior roles. The Scheduling and Data Specialist will report into the Network Supply Director, located in Plainfield, IL.
Play a critical role in the development and execution of the dual sourcing initiative. Work closely with procurement, suppliers, data, and material planners to ensure a robust, system driven process is delivered.
Create strong relationships with suppliers, operations, procurement, GDBS, data and other stakeholders.
Develop, implement and maintain processes and KPIs to ensure data compliance across scheduling and materials between SAP, APO and other systems.
Support the Alt BOM and Production Version management process.
Coordinate with commercialization and procurement to ensure accurate material set up.
Back up and support both material planners and finite schedulers as necessary.
Develop and lead continuous improvement projects, with a focus on supply chain and efficiency and waste reduction.
Support strategic projects as a key participant.
Other duties as assigned.
Associate degree is required; Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related discipline is preferred.
APICS CPIM certification desirable. Required to complete CPIM Part 1 within the first year.
SAP experience required. Experience with quota arrangements and batch management desired.
Strong analytical skills required.
Must be highly skilled in MS Excel and Outlook.
MS Visio , Access , PowerBI and APO experience desirable.
Process experience in BOM creation, source list management, production version set up, process order management and/or MRP is a preferred.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Six Sigma certification is a plus .
Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
