As a Scrum Manager, you will be responsible for driving the timely delivery of a portfolio of Analytics & AI initiatives across the region, such as Store Productivity, Assortment Optimization, Market Sizing, and Pricing.
In this role, you will partner up with data scientists, engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to tackle challenges of strategic importance to the company, and will maintain smooth and efficient team operations while driving agile delivery. Given the tight partnership with an existing team, it is expected that the candidate brings thoughtful perspectives, empathy, creativity, and a positive attitude to solve problems at scale. This role is ideal for someone with strong relationship management, project planning, and multi-functional coordination skills, and a desire to be constantly learning, looking to venture into the field of Machine Learning and Data Analytics.
About the Job:
Ensure that the projects are successful in delivering value and that each project adheres to budget and time frame guidelines
Lead one or more Agile scrum team(s) following the defined Agile methodologies using Scrum, TDD, Kanban and XP
Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution with empathy and respect
Track and remove impediments for the team as quickly as possible
Communicate early and often within the team and with stakeholders
Ensure project and backlog roadmaps are prioritized through clearly defined criteria and ROI sizing. Work with product owner to ensure a well-groomed Product Backlog for the teams to ensure long term work visibility is maintained
Measure team sprint success by using standard sprint metrics and drive team efficiency and productivity improvement through data points
Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, both internal and external to the team
Create and manage a documentation repository: maintain up-to-date project documentation, shared globally and conforming to global standards
Be a process evangelist: Coach team members using Agile Principles to help team mature in agile process
Facilitate cross team collaboration with the internal teams to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes with respect to production issues
Ability to tackle difficult issues and handle strong personalities. Must excel at decision making, conflict management
Bring a passion to stay on top of current trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, out-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization
Provide support to Implementation Lead for integrated roadmap planning activitiesLead boldly and utilize hard and soft skills to influence participants of all levels towards the common goal.
