Job Description Soldiers rely on their weapons to reign supreme on the battlefield. Working with everything from handguns and shotguns, to sniper rifles and ballistic missiles, the Small Arms/Artillery Repairer’s main responsibility is to maintain the electronic systems that keep these weapons firing for the Army .

  • Electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
  • Understanding schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
  • Operating electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment

Job training for Small Arms/Artillery Repairers consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training consists of both classroom and field work. Benefits/Requirements

Requirements
  • Military enlistment in the Army

  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
