We are searching for an adult learning expert that has experience with building trainings from the ground up. We are looking for an innovative leader to take our training department to the next level by creating engaging and technically savvy training programs.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities: Manage Internal and External Training Staff and Resources
  • Ensure training staff understands and adheres to business strategies, internal processes, procedures and practices
  • Ensure training staff have access to required tools and information (e.g., system access, training feedback, status updates, response to questions)
  • Provides leadership to instructional designer team to ensure that training projects meet requirements (e.g., business needs, design quality, cost effectiveness, learning objectives)
  • Partner with global training teams to coordinate and integrate activities of global training staff, as appropriate (e.g., awareness, recruiting, onboarding, training, work direction, infrastructure alignment)
Discovery and Customer Experience Management
  • Collaborate with internal / external business partners using a consultative approach to identify business goals and performance gaps where training may be needed (e.g., leadership, Human Capital, external customers, Vital Signs)
  • Identify the root cause and manage the assessment of performance gaps to drive solutions to meet the business needs
  • Leverage all relevant training/development approaches (e.g., learning from experience, learning from others, learning from education)
Design and Development
  • Maintain awareness of a variety of training delivery modes (InstructorLed, ComputerBased, blended, webinars)
  • Maintain knowledge of current business technology tools, as well as, new / emerging learning techniques / technologies (e.g., video conferencing, video streaming, social media, etc.)
  • Deliver effective and engaging training geared to large classes (50+ remote employees)
Implementation Support and Measurement
  • Develop strategies to help leaders create a working environment conducive to the delivery, application and impact of training (e.g., change management, MAP development goals, Vital Signs, Talent Management)
  • Analyze training evaluation data to measure training effectiveness and linkage to job performance (e.g., Metrics That Matter, informal feedback from participants/trainers, client satisfaction scores, Net Promoter Scores)
  • Drive metric based continuous improvement in learning and business outcomes (e.g., performance linkage, return on investment, evaluation data)
  • Identify and implement improvements to learning solutions (e.g., processes, procedures, materials, techniques, curricula) to enhance learning effectiveness and business impact

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, training, modern learning concepts and application
  • 5+ years of management experience in training department
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Current medical coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in risk adjustment coding
  • Experience with Captivate, Articulate Studio, Camtasia, Storyline, and/or Photoshop
