Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for a Senior Construction Project Manager at the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, NC in support of the final design, construction and successful implementation of multi-million-dollar energy efficiency projects
Provide daily construction, administrative and technical management of renewable construction projects delivering energy savings for public, institutional, government and commercial customers;
Assist the Regional Construction Manager as required with project accounting, budgeting, project schedule and tracking, reporting quality management and internal communications;
Ensure compliance with Company’s financial policies and procedures to include revenue recognition policies and project set up rules. Serve and assist as a liaison between the business office and operations;
Direct interface with Ameresco customers managing customer service, relationships and contractual obligations;
Assist the Engineering and Development team and the Regional Construction Manager in finalizing project design and development including scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation and project scheduling;
Regularly monitor assigned project performance and cost estimates to forecast estimates through to project completion for reasonableness against plans and actual expense date;
Review subcontractor and vendor bids solicited by the Regional Construction Manager to help determine scope, schedule, timely delivery for all project related materials, equipment and construction services;
Assist the Regional Construction Manager in managing engineering consultants, vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality control, project delivery on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations;
Directly manage construction managers (site supervisors) as assigned to ensure quality control, project delivery on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations;
Maintain and update project schedules to reflect current information, monitor critical path activities and tracking of outstanding items;
Provide a detailed 3 week look schedule to facilitate customer coordination and planning;
Assist the Regional Construction Manager in managing project expenditures and job cost accounting processes: including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, monthly forecasting and tracking;
Ensure compliance with company, industry, customer and jurisdictional safety standards, practices and codes;
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum of 7 years electrical, mechanical, engineering, or industrial power construction project management experience focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services.
Completion or progress toward engineering, technical, or industry-related education preferred.
Demonstrated work experience with several of the following energy efficiency disciplines - direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technology, warranty and service requirements preferred.
Experience in leading a diversified team of construction and design professionals through the process required to finalize conceptual designs and create approved construction documents.
Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project. Procore experience preferred.
Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state.
