POSITION SUMMARY:
Warehouse OperatorEnsure proper shipping and storing of product. Help maintain a safe work environment and efficient manner and contributing to a positive teamwork environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to unload trailers, count product and verify that it is correct, apply the lot stickers to the appropriate pallets when needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and supervisor.
  • Ability to use storage effectively and place in racks in the correct order.
  • Ability to certify in Forklift Training Program
  • Ability to complete battery changes and forklift safety checks.
  • Ability to operate 2-way radios.
  • Ability to certify on the operations of dock equipment, including the dock plates, dock locks and lights.
  • Capable of working according to company policies, safety rules, GMP regulations and perform good housekeeping practices.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Certify in Forklift Training Program, basic computer skills, math skills and the ability to accurately fill out all the paperwork necessary in the shipping/receiving department.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively one-on-one.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic mathematical skills.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
