Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive daily orders to be processed based on rotating customer schedule and type of delivery. Verify customer-specific requirements via the order board to ensure correct processing of order.
• Thoroughly comprehend and effectively execute customer-specific requirements in an efficient manner when transitioning orders throughout the day.
• Build/assemble corrugated cardboard boxes for shipping based on order specifications.
• Accurately and efficiently pick/select the customer order according to the specifications indicated (product type, quantity, etc.) and customer requirements.
• Stack/palletize product in a safe and effective manner on pallet jack based on order specifications and customer requirements. Shrink-wrap palletized order if necessary to ensure secure a load.
• Safely transport palletized orders to the correct shipping location per the order specifications. Utilize safe and ergonomically sound techniques to pull, push, and/or move the palletized order.
• Print order labels, scan labels, and match labels to correct boxes contained in order.
• Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance, productivity, and quality standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• High School diploma or its equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

• Six (6) months or more experience as an order processor, picker, processor, packer, or in a position similar in scope and responsibility is preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen

• Basic reading comprehension and ability to interpret and carry-out directives.
• Basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Effectively operate, read, and interpret RF scanners and other similar equipment.
• Safely and effectively operate packaging tools and equipment (i.e. pallet jack, computer, printer, labeler, tape gun, razor knife, impulse sealer, hand tools, etc.).
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people.
• Team-oriented attitude and focus with strong ability to collaborate with others.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in assigned tasks on a consistent basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Temperature controlled warehouse with fluorescent lighting and nominal noise level;
• Warehouse/distribution floor with ventilation, climate-control system, moderate lighting, and moderate noise level

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to effectively perform the following on a frequent basis:

• Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch;
• Push, pull, and maneuver a pallet jack with product load on a frequent basis;
• Lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $14.50 per hour
