Areeva is looking for a Full-time Grants Project Manager who will work under the supervision of a “Director – Grants Management” to complete tasks/requirements in support of federal contracts. Serves as the primary point of contact for the client on assigned contracts.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with end-end management of federal grant reviews (Peer Reviews) is required. A solid understanding of the grant review process for discretionary grant programs along with experience working with peer review tools and systems is a must. Experience managing multiple projects in tandem is highly desired.
Manage the end‐to‐end logistical requirements related to assigned federal grant review programs
Ensure compliance with contract deliverable requirements
Primary point of contact for federal program staff and secondary point of contact for grants management staff
Develop project plans and timelines to ensure accurate and timely execution of all tasks
Manage stakeholder communications (internal, client and participant)
Manage grant review participant training and support using web‐based platforms
Conduct effective outreach activities and manage reviewer recruitment processes
Monitor and provide oversight to the grant review process, utilizing federal systems and internal procedures
Execute quality assurance and control protocol, and ensure the security of federal data and personal Identifying information
Ensure internal systems and protocols are followed in the execution of assigned tasks
Consult regularly with clients to ensure project activities align with stated requirements and scope
Support the analysis, design and development of infrastructure and client‐facing systems
Collaborate with other departments, contractors and support teams as needed
Manage grant review close‐out activities, including but not limited to participant honoraria and surveys; and perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
4-6 years of federal peer review process and grants management experience is required
3+ years project management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient use of Microsoft office suite (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint)
Proficient use of standard office equipment
Experience using web‐based conferencing/webinar technology
Self‐starter and the ability to work in fast‐paced environment
Special consideration given to candidates with:
Federal grants management (gm) experience and knowledge
Peer review and logistics management experience
Experience with federal grants management technology
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
During normal operations, resource is expected to spend 2-3 days/week in Largo, MD at corporate office. Tele-work is permitted on other days. (Currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, all work is being performed remotely, which may change in the future.)
Once normal operations resume, trips to Washington DC are expected for meetings.
