SHIFT: Days (rotating weekends) SCHEDULE: Full-time Unit Assistant Nursing IMCU Department Full Time, Day Shift, 0.9 FTE Plantation General Hospital Plantation, FL Facility Description: Plantation General Hospital, a 264-bed acute care hospital, has served Plantation and Central Broward County since 1966. Job Description: Acts as the primary secretarial resource for the nursing unit. Assists in ordering supplies and other assigned duties. Is responsible for the smooth operation of all secretarial functions. Directs communication with the nursing unit. Utilizes the computer system to enter patient information and to place required orders and patient requests. This position requires knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical technology as it relates to nursing and the maintenance of patient records and the conduct of patient care. The ability to retrieve data from the hospital’s information system is required, along with the ability to communicate information in a written and auditory fashion. Written, telephone and manual dexterity skills are required for this position.
Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification issued by the American Heart Association required
High school graduate or equivalent
