This position is located in the Special Teams Section, Economic Services Division. ** Repost, Previous applicants must reapply.**Examples of Duties This position is assigned to train staff in all benefit program areas (i.e. Adult Medicaid, Food and Nutrition, Family and Children's Medicaid, Work First Family Assistance, and Child Care). This employee will conduct training on existing and new benefit program policy; provide one-on-one employee training support, and the mentoring of staff. Other duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: providing feedback to the benefit program supervisors regarding additional training and participate during audits, monitoring, and reviews. The position will be responsible for developing training materials/modules as needed.
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university and related customer service experience and (2) years of Income Maintenance Caseworker experience.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of income maintenance program assigned. Considerable knowledge of all agency and community programs and services which could affect the client/applicant. General knowledge of all income maintenance programs. Good mathematical reasoning and computational skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of regulations, policies and procedure of varying complexity. Ability to work independently and prioritize work. Ability to instruct arid evaluate the work of lower level employees. Ability to train employees in new and existing rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to understand the needs and problems of clients/applicants. Ability to perform caseworker function under and within structured time frames.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: The selected applicant will be subject to the following conditions prior to appointment. Failure to complete or fulfill these conditions may result in dismissal.

Has or is able to obtain a valid North Carolina Drivers License.
This position will require assisting in emergency and/or disaster situations.
