Desktop Technician I
Location: HealthPoint Administration
Employment Type: Full-time; 40hrs/wk

Position Summary:
Responsible for fixing and maintaining desktop computing environment for internal employees, maintains IT-related hardware inventory, and provides remote assistance through the telephone and Internet to guide end users as needed.
Your contribution to the team includes:
  • Perform Moves/Adds/Changes and regular maintenance activities for desktop/laptop computers, telephones, and printers. This includes installation of new equipment and replacement of inoperable equipment.
  • Install and maintain software on desktop computers including system patches.
  • Install and upgrade IT standard operating system on new and existing computers using standard process imaging.
  • Educate end users regarding computer and software operations, including basic “how to’s” and best practices (typically performed one on one during daily tasks).
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting and diagnosis of connectivity issues – including cabling, IP addressing and network drivers/settings – and communication with Network Technician for additional troubleshooting.
  • Update changes to current technical support documentation.
  • Use basic understanding of relevant IT Information Protection Policies to ensure compliance.
  • Manage IT inventory assets for both inbound and outbound equipment.

Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1-year basic computing experience or comparable training or demonstrated ability, experience with current Microsoft Desktop OS, IP Networking, computer hardware and PBX telephone systems required.
  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals required or equivalent
Proof of immunity to varicella, measles, mumps and rubella is a condition of employment. Prospective employees must provide proof at time of offer.
If you know about the following it’s a plus:
  • CompTIA A+ or Microsoft MCP preferred
  • Wiring class EIA/TIA certified or equivalent
