Ke'aki Technologies, LLC. is looking for a qualified FIRE FIGHTER to support our contract with Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, HI.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of a Lead Fire Fighter functions as part of a team performing emergency services operations, operate specialized tools and equipment, conduct resource inspections / preventive maintenance, and complete other duties as assigned.
Major Job Activities:
Performs all activities associated with structural firefighting
Performs all activities associated with rescue operations
Performs all activities associated with Airfield Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF).
Performs all activities associated with providing medical care to the sick/ injured
Completes all recurring proficiency training as required.
Performs preventive maintenance on specialized tools and equipment
Participates in periodic service testing of vehicles and equipment
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Environment: Customer contact, extended duty, confined work area, office laboratory, field assignment
Ability to work at heights, within hazardous environments and under hazardous conditions.
Ability to work well with others
Ability to function under duress.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written format
Must pass an annual fire fighter agility test.
Must function effectively while wearing respiratory protection; face mask with self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
Must have visual acuity and distinguish colors and depth.
Must meet the medical requirements outlined in NFPA 1582, Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Dept, Chapter 6
Physical Elements: Must be able to lift, push & pull over 50 lbs (two men assist). Continuous walking or standing and continuous sitting. Crawling, kneeling or cramped. Work requiring occasionally climbing.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
One-year experience as a firefighter preferred.
21 years of age.
Must possess the following PC skills: Microsoft office, Excel, Outlook & Power Point
High School graduate or equivalent
One year of demonstrated experience may be substituted with technical school or firefighter related voluntary work.
CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected must be a US Citizen in order to apply for a Secret security Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment, and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
