United Arkansas is seeking a hard-working team player to serve as our newest Member Service Representative. Our MSR's are trusted by our members day after day to handle their deposits and withdrawals, to answer their questions, to offer advice, and to provide a friendly face and pleasant conversation. United Arkansas MSR's are there to introduce members to all of the benefits of membership at account opening, and they are there to care for members' needs regarding their accounts whenever circumstances dictate. Member Service Representatives are entrusted with identifying which products and services would best serve our members and then communicating to our members how the product or service will benefit them. The ideal candidate for this opportunity must know how to have fun while remaining professional and fostering a feeling of confidence in the organization and the team. As an MSR, you are the face of United Arkansas, and this must never be forgotten or taken lightly.
Contribute to a positive work environment
Treat teammates and members with dignity and courtesy at all times
Conduct routine transactions within time limits and established guidelines (cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals, etc.)
Open new accounts and perform account maintenance tasks as needed
Assess member needs and promote products and services as appropriate (checking accounts, savings accounts, mobile app, etc.)
Make referrals to lending team as opportunity arises, suggest alternative channels for conducting business to make members' lives easier (online banking, debit cards, smart ATM's, etc)
Establish relationships with members and coworkers based on trust and respect
Comply with regulatory requirements.
Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
Resolve members’ issues and provide relevant information.
Other duties as assigned
Strong work ethic and personal integrity
Proven work experience in credit unions, banking, personal banking, retail banking or financial services
Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, money counters, copier/scanner, printer, etc.)
Strong communication and time management skills
Attention to detail
Basic mathematical skills
High school diploma and/or higher education
Fluency in Spanish a plus
Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-6:00.
Work schedules may include all of these hours including overtime.
