Country Inn & Suites - Gettysburg, an As One Management Hotel is has immediate openings for reliable & hospitable Front Desk Agent. This is an entry level position but requires someone with a personality that is beyond a cashier - someone who is excited to help travelers with their trip to Gettysburg. This position is a mix of shifts, primarily 1st and 2nd with weekends. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in learning 3rd shift responsibilities.
We are looking for service oriented candidates, preferably with hotel and front desk experience, to join our team!
***Must be available mix of shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.***
Enthusiastically greet guests upon arrival.
Register and assign rooms to guests promptly and efficiently.
Ensure safety measures are followed at all times.
Date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages.
Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.
Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Listen to and solve guest concerns.
Help hotel meet revenue goals
Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.
Thank each guest by name for choosing your hotel. Invite back.
Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues.
Accurately post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bill.
Make reservation, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guest.
Deposit guest valuables in hotel safe deposit box as requested and appropriate.
Log and conduct wake-up calls timely and pleasantly.
Ability to focus on the guest, ensuring complete satisfaction with each transaction / interaction.
Ability to accurately use various office software.
Ability to willingly perform other customer service and guest-related functions as required. Must have to learn and understand comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
Qualified candidates must have EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and computer literate.
Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule (am & pm shifts); working weekends and holidays is a must.
Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers.
Must be flexible with schedule to include nights/weekends/holidays.
Must be committed to operational success of hotel & available to work during weather related emergencies.
Relevant training and experience and additional education preferred.
