Full Description :

is seeking an entry-level Administrative Assistant to support the newly awarded NISSC II contract. Your career at enables NISSC to fulfill its mission to “provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites.” As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas. Qualifications Performs a broad level of administrative functions and serves as specialist in areas of responsibility. Performs independent, professional, routine assignments within areas of responsibility. Conducts a significant portion of business operations as administrative assistant in the area and operates with some latitude for non-reviewed actions or decisions. Organize files, create correspondence, prepare reports and documents, manage calendars to schedule appointments, prepare invoices and offer general staff support. Serve as an initial point of contact, answering phones and greeting visitors. Engage in event planning and meeting setup and implementation. Make travel arrangements and generate itineraries. Advises management on business activities in areas of expertise. Consults with specialists and managers regarding potential business systems improvements. Works on special assignments coordinating actions to correct problems, and documents subsequent revisions to procedures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft suite of programs.
  • Preferred to have an AS or a BA/BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 0 to 2 years of experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer

Work Environment: General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment and Machines: General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance: Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
Other Essential Functions: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed.
